The Triangle’s Ultimate Italian Seafood Experience

Monday, May 12th, 2014

Mia-Francesca-Raleigh-Pan-Seared-ScallopsPeople who dine at Mia Francesca Trattoria agree that we serve only the best authentic Northern Italian cuisine in the Triangle. That is why so many people enjoy coming back to our restaurant again and again. We are located a short distance from everywhere in the Triangle at North Hills Midtown Raleigh; the area is filled with terrific shopping, specialty shoppes, boutiques, fitness centers, and movie theaters. While many North Carolinians think pizza and pasta when they think Italian food, some might be surprised to know that we are famous for our fresh seafood as well.

In Italy, the domestic diet relies heavily on the richness of the Mediterranean Sea, which surrounds the entire peninsula. From the consumption of small fish along the shore to commercially organized fisheries in the larger markets of Milan and Rome, fish is one of the most important aspects of the Italian heritage. With this history in mind, Mia Francesca offers a superb variety of luscious seafood dishes.

Our specialties include succulent Shrimp e Piselli Risotto, which features fresh gulf shrimp with flavorful asparagus, lemon, garlic, basil, pea shoots, on a bed of Arborio rice. Our Sea Scallop Fagioli is offered with delicious pan seared sea scallops, white beans, fresh artichokes, baby spinach, balsamic, and saba. Our Striped Bass con Farro delights Triangle taste buds with pan seared striped bass, ancient grain faro, radiccio, spring onions, citrus, grilled lemon vinaigrette, and salsa verde.

In addition to our fresh shrimp, sea scallops, and bass, our Lobster Cappellacci brings to the table fresh Maine lobster filled with fresh pasta, spring peas, baby spinach, tarragon, and a rich lobster cream sauce. Finally, our incredible Salmon con Farro comes with flavorful grilled salmon, ancient grain faro, radiccio, spring onions, citrus, grilled lemon vinaigrette, and salsa verde.

Be ready to save room for one of our Italian heritage desserts! We welcome first time guests to North Hills and just know the experience will make Mia Francesca a regular experience in the future.

Easter Brunch in the Triangle

Wednesday, April 2nd, 2014

Easter Brunch RaleighFor friends and families across Raleigh and the Triangle, the wonderful traditions continue with the warmth of spring in North Carolina. April is a month of renewal here in the region and the greening up of the Triangle and Central Carolina has begun in earnest. Spring also features the first major warm weather holiday of the year in Easter Sunday. Mia Francesca Trattoria offers a wonderful Easter Brunch fit for family and friends.

Mia Francesca (located just off the Beltline exit 8B at Six Forks Road in Midtown Raleigh) features a superb Easter Brunch and Lunch from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 20; as an authentic Tuscan-Italian restaurant here in Midtown Raleigh, we always feature an array of Italy’s classic Easter holiday offerings.

Our award winning kitchen is preparing a delicious array of buffet choices including our variety of salads that even the Easter Bunny is sure to like. Try the traditional Italian Caprese Salad (“Salad of Capri”) with rich vine ripe tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil, and olive oil. The salad resembles the Italian flag colors: green, white, and red.

  • Crisp and succulent Applewood Smoked Bacon
  • Delicious Italian Sausage
  • Creamy Scrambled Eggs
  • Batter Soaked Classic Vanilla Bean French Toast

There will be a wide variety of delectable sweet courses at our Easter Buffet dessert tables. The most popular might be our yummy Carrot Cake. The best Easter-themed treat is our Pastiera Naploetana (Italian Easter Cake) which uses items that symbolize the holiday itself: eggs for new life and wheat for the coming of spring.  This Italian Easter dessert has lovely creamy custard filling flavored with the subtle taste of fresh citrus fruits and ricotta cheese.

The entire family can dress up for services and then all relax for the complete Easter meal.  Everyone one can enjoy the fun, the great memories and new traditions of Easter Sunday 2014.

Make reservations today for our incredible Easter Brunch and Lunch.
