Midtown Raleigh’s Delicious Northern Italian Cuisine is “To Simply Dine For”

Monday, January 5th, 2015

http://www.dreamstime.com/royalty-free-stock-photography-assortment-fresh-vegetables-image18358907Our management and staff believe that Mia Francesca Trattoria is arguably the best Tuscan-Italian restaurant in the Triangle. It is easy to get to from anywhere; just take the North Hills exit (8 B) off the 440 Beltline at Six Forks. We are located inside the vast entertainment complex along with luxury boutiques, large department stores, and movie theater screens. In fact, the famous Midtown landmark, the Marriott Renaissance, is right next store. There is so much to explore here in Midtown, and centrally located, Mia Francesca is convenient for anyone to come here and enjoy our ever changing menu.

Not only are we near the best places that the Capital City offers, we enjoy meeting everyone who dines with us. Our guests always receive a warm and friendly greeting as they begin the dining experience and enjoy our top-notch customer service.

Mia Francesca offers all of this in a rustic atmosphere within a spacious and comfortable dining area:

  • Our gracious host /hostess always seats guests with a smile
  • Our knowledgeable wait staff is attentive to the needs of every diner
  • Our professional culinary-trained chefs prepare each tasty item with farm to table finesse

Mia Francesca is known for its ample and varied array of unique appetizers. We recommend that our guests begin with one in mind. For example, Our Winter Risotto is Arborio Rice, local winter squash, Swiss chard, lemon, garlic, and basil. Our Prosciutto con Rucola features fresh Prosciutto di Parma, smoked mozzarella, marcona almonds, arugula, lemon, olive oil, and Saba.

After a wonderful appetizer, try one of our delicious dinner meals. Consider our Salmon Aspragi con Granchi which comes with fresh grilled salmon, blue crab, wild mushrooms, asparagus, sun dried tomatoes, white wine, garlic, lemon, and balsamic. And our Costoletta di Maiale features an ample cider glazed pork chop, sweet potato puree, Brussel sprouts, pancetta, caramelized onions, and apple gastrique.

Finally, complete your Mia Francesca dining experience with one of our heavenly desserts. Many of our visitors love our Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake with pumpkin spice-cream cheese filling, graham cracker crust, candied pumpkin seeds, and vanilla anglaise. For the majority of our guests who often have difficulty deciding which dessert to choose from, we recommend the Dessert Platter, Executive Chef Zachary VanGaasbeek’s assorted selections designed for sharing with up to ten people. Along with dessert, sip one of our soothing Illy brand coffees such as Cappuccino, Espresso, Caramel Macchiato, and Mocha-cino.

Here in Raleigh and across the Triangle, Mia Francesca Trattoria continues to serve the most savory authentic Italian cuisine around that is “to simply dine for”.

Monday, October 13th, 2014

http://www.dreamstime.com/stock-photos-apple-harvest-image21611353October is National Apple Month across the U.S.A. and autumn is always a fun time for cider mills, N.C. apple picking, apple tours, corn mazes and hayrides down the orchard farm trails. At Mia Francesca Trattoria, we offer a variety of delectable dishes that include our North Carolina apple or feature its apple flavors. Whether dining with us for brunch, lunch, dinner, or even Halloween weekend; we are the finest Northern Italian restaurant in the Triangle. Mia Francesca is centrally located at North Hills in Midtown Raleigh alongside the Renaissance Raleigh North Hills by Marriott and we are near boutiques, movie theaters, quaint shops and an array of local retail environments to walk to and enjoy.

From our weekend brunch menu, we offer Breakfast Americana: two eggs (any style), applewood smoked bacon, Italian sausage, house-fried potatoes, ciabatta toast, and fresh fruit. Our brunch menu is always available from 10 a.mm until 3 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday.

When visiting for lunch while shopping or during your work day, stop in and enjoy our seasonal Autumn Salad with fresh sliced apples, pears, gorgonzola, candied walnuts and mixed greens; everything is flavored with our delicious apple cider vinaigrette. Keeping with the October apple theme during dinner, try our absolutely incredible Costoletta di Maiale, which features a cider glazed pork chop, sweet potato puree, Brussels sprouts, pancetta, and caramelized onions with fresh apple juices.

Now, what dessert does Mia Francesca Trattoria recommend tasting during National Apple Month? None other than our Apple Crostata with locally grown Granny Smith apples buried in a flaky pastry crust that is always served warm with tasty vanilla gelato, caramel, and vanilla crème anglaise.

Remember to find the opportunity to delight in our fine wine selection. In honor of National Apple Month, feel free to select one of our superb red or white wines. Cabernet Sauvignon is the king of our red wines and Chardonnay is the most popular of our white wines.

Lastly, it is soon the time for the holiday season and the holidays are about spending time with loved ones. Let our Iron Chef Zack and his team of kitchen professionals does all the work. When you celebrate Thanksgiving Day with us (from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday November 27th), have a slice of our savory Apple Pie.

Brunch Every Weekend in Raleigh Including Easter Sunday!

Wednesday, April 9th, 2014

Easter Veg Grant CochraneMia Francesca Trattoria has always offered wonderful weekend and holiday brunches in North Hills Midtown Raleigh. We want to share that one of the best times for brunch is fast approaching on Easter Sunday, April 20th!

Our Tucsany Italian eatery creates brunches on a weekly basis, virtually every Saturday and Sunday of the year. We always want friends and family to enjoy great choices in one sitting that offer culinary excellence in a rustic atmosphere right in the heart of North Hills. Mia Francesca is located next to the Renaissance Raleigh North Hills Hotel. And as everyone knows, it does not have to be a special occasion to enjoy our family-focused dining experience. In fact, we want you to visit every weekend. You can count on our Northern Italian traditions!

Our unique brunch has recently been featured in the recent Saturday March 29, 2014 eatRaleigh Blog.  The local dining post discusses the fact that the Mia Francesca Brunch is its “favorite meal of the week”. When describing our eclectic array of selections, eatRaleigh writes, “Par for the course with their portion sizes, Mia Francesca’s brunch menu is massive. Not only is there an entire page of entrees to choose from, but the menu also includes a long list of brunch appetizer options.”

One of the weekend brunch favorites, Eggs Amatriciana Al Forno features baked eggs with pancetta, Spanish onions, tomato basil sauce, grilled ciabatta bread, and shaved pecorino tartufo. “The Amatriciana is the type of dish that Mia Francesca hangs their hat on, rustic and homey.  It was all of that plus filling and comforting.”

Our authentic Arancini Benedict comes with crispy risotto, soft poached eggs, basil hollandaise, prosciutto di parma, and house fried potatoes. eatRaleigh writes, “Plump crispy risotto cakes replace the typical English muffins with creamy risotto in the middle, the hollandaise sauce, and egg yolk, it was Scrooge Mc Duck rich.”  We think so, too.

eatRaleigh finishes its review of our brunch experience with an accurate description of our guests: “For the Sunday morning meal where hipsters and church-goers meet, Mia Francesca serves as another solid option for the Midtown faithful.”

Remember our Easter Brunch and Lunch happens this Easter Sunday, April 20th.

The Easter holiday traditions are all about family, friends and great food, so bring your favorite people and the little ones to join us at our table. Don’t let this special weekend pass without our Easter Brunch Raleigh experience!

Easter Weekend is almost here! It is less than two weeks away!
