http://www.dreamstime.com/royalty-free-stock-photo-thanksgiving-invitation-autumn-conceptual-illustration-creative-image36792295Thanksgiving Day is the only time of the year when we actually focus on all of our blessings. It is important to everyone in Raleigh and the surrounding towns to be focused on family togetherness and our many good fortunes. One of the best ways for Triangle friends and families to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday together is to let our Executive Chef Zack Van GaasBeek and his professional and experienced kitchen staff at Mia Francesca Trattoria, prepares our annual, bountiful and delicious Thanksgiving Day Buffet. While known around Raleigh for our phenomenal authentic Northern Italian cuisine, we also offer a huge variety of traditional favorites on this most special of American holidays.

According to the National Restaurant Association, 14 million people are expected to dine out this year on Thanksgiving. Join the crowd and make dining with us the new Thanksgiving tradition.

Executive Chef Zack offers five important reasons for enjoying the Mia Francesca Trattoria Thanksgiving Day Buffet:

  • We do all the work so families can enjoy warm conversations and an outstanding epicurean experience.
  • We eliminate any stress over menu planning and have our buffet ready when our guests show up.
  • No one will ever complain about our farm to table dining experience. Even the fussiest of holiday eaters will enjoy our palate-pleasing food.
  • We offer plenty of seating space for large groups of people; the kids always enjoy eating at the adult table.
  • Our attentive wait staff is available to assist everyone, whether guests are coming for lunch or dinner (open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.) on Thanksgiving Day.

From our “made from scratch” salads, homemade dressings, imported cheeses, and fresh fruit to our fresh garden seasonal vegetables, green bean casserole and traditional stuffing, we have all of the traditional dishes. Fresh mashed potatoes, local sweet potatoes, honey-baked ham, braised turkey leg and roasted turkey breast, we have all the fixings that will make Grandma and Grandpa happy.   Our voluminous dessert selections include pecan pie bars, pumpkin pie, and apple pie as well as Italian tiramisu and assorted Cannolis!

Skipping the annual Thanksgiving stress and fuss with everyone in the house, can now be the new tradition of hopping in the car and heading to Thanksgiving headquarters, Mia Francesca Trattoria in Midtown Raleigh’s North Hills. There is no need for anyone to experience anything but fun and good times on America’s favorite holiday. Plus, there is no cleaning up afterwards. Make new and exciting friend and family memories when dining at Mia Francesca Trattoria on Thanksgiving Day. We have something delicious for everyone in the Triangle. Savor the Triangle’s Tastiest Thanksgiving Day Feast Right Here in Raleigh

Monday, October 27th, 2014

thanksgiving tradition turkeyEveryone here in the Triangle loves turkey. It is the historic Thanksgiving staple on every North Carolina table. At the very first Thanksgiving in 1621, it was one of the only meats readily available and plentiful enough to provide continuous meals for the event that lasted several days. The Pilgrims and Puritans and the local peoples celebrated the rich bountiful harvest produced near Plymouth (now present day Massachusetts).

Speaking of traditions, 2014 is the 70th Annual WRAL Raleigh Christmas Parade that always, very surprisingly, happens on the Saturday before Thanksgiving each and every year in Downtown Raleigh. 65,000 people from across the Triangle around the 1.4 mile parade route will be cheering and looking for Santa Claus. There is time that Saturday to watch the 2.5 hour morning parade which starts at 9:40 a.m. and then dine with us for lunch or dinner on the way home. You can discuss which floats were the best while enjoying our delicious, farm fresh weekend cuisine.

At Mia Francesca Trattoria, we offer a bountiful Thanksgiving Day Buffet on the holiday itself, Thursday November 27. This is our annual Thanksgiving Day Feast here at North Hills in Midtown Raleigh and the harvest is plentiful and the celebration all day from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.

All the time-honored fresh holiday fixings will be present in our Thanksgiving Day Buffet:

  • Mashed Potatoes
  • Mashed North Carolina Sweet Potatoes
  • Traditional Stuffing
  • Green Bean Casserole
  • Braised Turkey Leg, Roasted Turkey Breast
  • Honey Baked Ham

We have it all!

Our Thanksgiving Day Buffet also features a wonderful Fresh Fruit Display as well as our farm to table Mixed Seasonal Vegetables.

Mia Francesca Trattoria also presents:

  • Autumn Salad: mixed greens, local apples, pears, candied walnuts, goat cheese, apple cider vinaigrette
  • Caesar Salad: hearts of romaine, garlic croutons, shave Parmigiano Reggiano
  • Antipasti Display: imported cheeses, charcuterie, marinated artichoke hearts, seasonal jams, spiced pecans, and herbed crostini roasted bell peppers

Of course, we are a Northern Italian restaurant, and pasta lovers will enjoy our Pasta con Mozzarella with penne pasta, tomato basil sauce, parmesan, and fresh mozzarella; as well as our Pasta con Pollo with grilled chicken, penne pasta, pine nuts, and a smooth basil cream sauce. Dessert lovers will love our almost countless divine dessert selections! Let Mia Francesca do the cooking and cleaning so making precious holiday memories with family and friends are easier than ever.

Make your Thanksgiving reservation today so all of the family and long-time friends can come to Raleigh and enjoy the North Hills Holiday experience! Call us today!
