What Makes a Great Italian Restaurant in the Triangle?

Sunday, March 29th, 2015

Flourless Chocolate CakeMia Francesca Trattoria is growing as the Italian restaurant of choice in Raleigh and the Triangle. We do it in simple ways by offering great tradition and the Northern Italian food people love and enjoy. Located in Midtown Raleigh at North Hills, we offer an impeccable wine list, the tastiest pasta, and the richest desserts this side of the Italy countryside.

Mia Francesca’s warm and cozy bar offers the additional comforts of several drink specials during the week. Every Monday, from 11:30 am to 11:00 pm, our fantastic wine selection is 50% off. The work week can be very long at times, and by Thursday, everyone can stop by and discover selected cocktails that are also 50 % off from the after work hours of 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Every Sunday, from noon until the later dinner hour of 9:00 p.m., we offer $3 Bellinis and Mimosas and feature a “Build a Bloody Mary “ Bar.

It is Holy Week, and Mia Francesca Trattoria has a very special Easter Brunch and Buffet for the holiday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with an abundance of farm fresh North Carolina grown and produced menu items on our unique Easter Menu.

Among our Easter Brunch variety, we offer a huge array of holiday choices, including:

  • Smoked Salmon Display: smoked salmon, sieved eggs, capers, red onions, and cream cheese on mini bagels
  • Spring Frittata: baked frittata style eggs, asparagus, baby spinach, goat cheese, and sundried tomatoes
  • Pasta Pollo Bianca: sliced chicken breast, penne pasta, alfredo cream sauce, basil, and parmigiano
  • Lamb Shoulder: slow roasted lamb shoulder, rosemary, garlic, lamb jus
  • Pastiera Naploetana: our secret recipe for incredibly tasty Italian Easter Cake

In addition to our wonderful seafood, fresh meats and cheeses, weekend brunches, and a very special Easter Buffet; we offer our special private dining areas for business networking groups, graduation parties, birthdays, wedding rehearsal dinners, and even family reunion parties. Our rustic, yet elegant trattoria is perfect for a variety of special events. Simply choose the event and we will put everything together for you and your guests.

The most special part about our authentic Italian restaurant is putting smiles on the faces of those who dine in our lovely Capital City restaurant. Brunch Every Weekend in Raleigh Including Easter Sunday!

Wednesday, April 9th, 2014

Easter Veg Grant CochraneMia Francesca Trattoria has always offered wonderful weekend and holiday brunches in North Hills Midtown Raleigh. We want to share that one of the best times for brunch is fast approaching on Easter Sunday, April 20th!

Our Tucsany Italian eatery creates brunches on a weekly basis, virtually every Saturday and Sunday of the year. We always want friends and family to enjoy great choices in one sitting that offer culinary excellence in a rustic atmosphere right in the heart of North Hills. Mia Francesca is located next to the Renaissance Raleigh North Hills Hotel. And as everyone knows, it does not have to be a special occasion to enjoy our family-focused dining experience. In fact, we want you to visit every weekend. You can count on our Northern Italian traditions!

Our unique brunch has recently been featured in the recent Saturday March 29, 2014 eatRaleigh Blog.  The local dining post discusses the fact that the Mia Francesca Brunch is its “favorite meal of the week”. When describing our eclectic array of selections, eatRaleigh writes, “Par for the course with their portion sizes, Mia Francesca’s brunch menu is massive. Not only is there an entire page of entrees to choose from, but the menu also includes a long list of brunch appetizer options.”

One of the weekend brunch favorites, Eggs Amatriciana Al Forno features baked eggs with pancetta, Spanish onions, tomato basil sauce, grilled ciabatta bread, and shaved pecorino tartufo. “The Amatriciana is the type of dish that Mia Francesca hangs their hat on, rustic and homey.  It was all of that plus filling and comforting.”

Our authentic Arancini Benedict comes with crispy risotto, soft poached eggs, basil hollandaise, prosciutto di parma, and house fried potatoes. eatRaleigh writes, “Plump crispy risotto cakes replace the typical English muffins with creamy risotto in the middle, the hollandaise sauce, and egg yolk, it was Scrooge Mc Duck rich.”  We think so, too.

eatRaleigh finishes its review of our brunch experience with an accurate description of our guests: “For the Sunday morning meal where hipsters and church-goers meet, Mia Francesca serves as another solid option for the Midtown faithful.”

Remember our Easter Brunch and Lunch happens this Easter Sunday, April 20th.

The Easter holiday traditions are all about family, friends and great food, so bring your favorite people and the little ones to join us at our table. Don’t let this special weekend pass without our Easter Brunch Raleigh experience!

Easter Weekend is almost here! It is less than two weeks away!
