Mia Francesca profiterolesMia Francesca asparagusMia Francesca Trattoria, located at North Hills in Midtown Raleigh, would like to highlight a recent Trip Advisor review from Senior Reviewer Dave K from Raleigh. Dave titled his review, Fresh and high quality ingredients with excellent preparation.” As a participating restaurant in the Got to Be NC agriculture program, Mia Francesca offers the freshest of ingredients. We indeed are a farm fresh to table restaurant that everyone loves and enjoys.

“For starters, don’t overlook the salads. The lentils with goat cheese and the fresh asparagus are excellent.” Dave loves the Lentils and Spinaci, which feature warm lentils with spinach and goat cheese, as well as our Asparagi Insalata with fresh asparagus, blue cheese, and tomato. “For appetizers, the calamari is a very nice portion with tasty sauces.” Dave enjoys our very popular Calamari Fritti, which is lightly fried in a spicy marinara sauce.

“For pasta… the Spaghetti Bolognese might be standard fare for many, however, Mia Francesca kicks it up with pulled pork. It is very smooth and tasty: a winner every time.” Dave knows our North Carolina inspired Spaghetti alla Bolognese is loaded with beef, veal, pork, fresh herbs, and tomato basil sauce topped with Parmigiano Reggiano.

“If you have any room left, the profiteroles are outstanding with pistachio gelato. You won’t find this in many places in Raleigh.” Our Profiteroles are delicate cream puffs toasted and filled with pistachio gelato and topped with a divinely homemade chocolate sauce. This is one of just many decadent choices from our Dessert (Dolci) menu.

“For beverages, if you are a wine drinker, try the…Pinot Grigio.” By the glass, two excellent Pinot Grigio options are Le Macine and Ca’ Stella Veneto. By the bottle, two very popular Pinot Grigio choices this time of year are Dantello and Baroncini Veneto.

Thank you, Dave K, for letting us share your review and recommendation with our blog post audience. It is the holiday season and we bring North Carolina and Tuscany Region in Central Italy together for you each and every day!

dan beerWhen you want to get away and unwind in a relaxing place, look no further than Mia Francesca Trattoria. Located in North Hills, we offer the best authentic Northern Italian environment in the Triangle. You can find us, along with wonderful places for shopping and entertainment, right in Midtown Raleigh, exit 8 off the I 440 Beltline. We really enjoy when you visit us for lunch and dinner, but have you thought about stopping by after work to relax at the bar or one of our adjacent cozy booths or tables? We invite you to stop and enjoy our savory appetizers as well as eclectic array of cool refreshing drinks like our seasonal libations and ice cold beer.

People love our bar for its casual dining atmosphere. Step into Italy after a long summer day and relax with the aromatic scents of our fine Italian cooking. After five is the perfect opportunity to savor our delicious gourmet food. Try one of our appetizers like Piseelli Bruschetta, flavorful garlic toast with smashed peas, lemon ricotta, pea shoots, and crispy prosciutto. If you are looking for something with some extra pizzazz to it, try our Calamari Fritti, or fried calamari in a spicy marinara sauce. It is very popular with the North Hills networking crowd.

Our hot summer libations include our Strawberry Blonde Sangria featuring strawberry vodka, spiced rum, brandy, Rosa wine, and farm fresh strawberries. Our Passiontini is a delightful beverage with passion fruit vodka, Pama pomegranate liqueur, blueberry juice, and a splash of ginger. Our Back Porch Pounder comes with citrus vodka, triple sec, lavender-honey simple syrup, and a splash of lemon-lime juice. All of our thirst-quenching drinks, including our frosty Peroni Lager, are a welcome relief to the hot sun and often steamy breezes.

After relishing one of our delicious appetizers at the bar, complete your experience with a chilly selection from our dessert menu. Our Gelato flavors include Bacio, White Chocolate, Dark Chocolate, Pistachio, and Vanilla. Our Sorbet flavors are ravishing raspberry, legendary lemon, and marvelous mango. Whatever you select, remember, “Mia Francesca’s will refresh ya”!
